Aix la Chapelle 1993

• Sur ses tableaux,la lumière se réfracte,leurs couleurs semblent avoir été mélangées directement par son peintre modèle,Van Gogh; pourtant Jean Marie Deschamp aspire dans son art ni à la pure reproduction de ses impression de paysages ni à la simple imitation de prédécesseurs célèbres .Actuellement Deschamp montre dans la galerie Bock,Feldchen 9, le fruit de son propre travail des quatre dernières années dans une exposition qui,somme toute est sa première en RFA.  L'autodidacte en peinture a amené plus de trente ouvrages dans la ville de Charlemagne afin de présenter l'entière gamme stylistique de son oeuvre. Tout en étant par conséquent fort différents,ces tableaux montrent avec une grande évidence la griffe très personnelle de l'artiste(ainsi que ses sujets préférés).Au centre se trouve d'abord l'homme .Le peintre français agé de 43 ans "décape" ses personnages représentés dans un style abstrait jusqu,à leur for intérieur. Le pinceau lui sert de bistouri,les nuances de ses couleurs de soutient corsetant.      D'une couche de couleur à l'autre il creuse le corps humain pour arriver aux entrailles,jusqu'à ce que l'épiderme encadre,tel un passe-partout,l'essentiel de la sphère intérieure. La peinture à l'huile - son moyen d'expression préféré -,dont le caractère pâteux rend d'excellents services dans ce travail de stratification,donne -littéralement comme au sens figuré - du poids aux tableaux et demande une application laborieuse.  Dans ses petits formats,Deschamp a érigé un monument pictural à sa terre d'élection,la Provence région autour de St.Rémy-en-Provence,baignée de lumière et de couleur, où jadis Van Gogh a trouvé le chemin d'accès à la peinture .Ici, l'application épaisse des couleurs est également dominante,les limites entre l'art figuratif et abstrait s'estompent,sans que ces tableaux atteignent cependant la profondeur en substance thématique et la qualité que l'artiste,vivant en solitaire,a su conférer à ses représentations figuratives.                            Evamarie Kaufhold .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    On its tables, the light is refracted, their colors seem to be mixed directly by its model painter, Van Gogh; however Jean Marie Deschamp aspires in his art neither to the pure reproduction of his impression of landscapes nor to the simple imitation of famous predecessors. Currently Deschamp shows in the gallery Bock, Feldchen 9, the fruit of its own four last years work in an exposure which, altogether is its first in FRG. The autodidact in painting brought more than thirty works in the town of Charlemagne in order to present the whole stylistic range of his work. While being consequently extremely different, these tables show with a great obviousness the very personal claw of the artist (like its preferred subjects). In the center initially the man is. 43 the French year old painter “pickles” his characters represented in an abstract style jusqu, with their for interior. Here, the thick application of the colors is also dominant, the limits between the art representational and abstract grow blurred, without these tables however reaching the depth in substance set of themes and quality that the artist, alive as a recluse, knew to confer on his figurative representations.
